BAMBINI IN CITTÀ

1946

The film was shot at the end of World War II in the streets of Milan devastated by the bombings.

Comencini denounces the city planning: in a city where there is no room for children to play, children used to play in factories and industrial areas. Nevertheless, the film shows the children’s joy and natural optimism, as they manage to adapt themselves to any situation just to have fun together.
