Since the arrival of streaming platforms, film production has changed, focusing more and more on series and less on films. Are screenings shared in a movie theatre with other viewers destined to disappear over the years or is the offer simply diversifying, enriching itself and reaching audiences that previously could not enjoy it? This year Castellinaria is proposing a conference on this theme to offer food for thought on the identity of audiences and distribution in the broadest sense.
Guests will include Gregory Catella (SRG SSR, Play Suisse), Markus Duffner (Head of LocarnoPro - Locarno Film Festival), David Simon (Ciclic France), Adéla Lachoutová (Head of Audiovisual Education Young Film Fest Prague), Francesco Rey (Cactus Film Festival). And with contributions from Claudia Bersani & Sara Barnabeo (CastellinClasse) and Tina Furger (co-director of ‘Everything is fine’). The conference will be moderated by film critic Ivo Silvestro, journalist for the newspaper laRegione.
