We are proposing a space for reflection focused on the sustainability of Swiss film production and the ecological repercussions of ‘filmmaking’ on our territory. Availing ourselves of the collaboration of the Festival dell'Economia, organised by the Scuola Cantonale di Commercio di Bellinzona and the professional experience of some ‘green consultants’ who are members of the Azione Film Verde/Aktion Grüner Film association (Carina Kaiser, Lilian Sassanelli and Mattia De Marco), in collaboration with the Ticino Film Commission we will propose a conference moderated by Cristina Pinho, deputy editor of our partner newspaper LaRegione. Besides discussing how to reduce carbon waste in film production in the broadest sense, we will get to the heart of the subject by going behind the scenes of some case-studies (‘Deer Girl’ by Francesco Jost, presented by Lilian Sassanelli, ‘Lonely’ presented by director Michele Pennetta and ‘Crows - Nature is watching us’ presented by director Martin Schilt and Junior Producer and distributor Andrea Müller). The Ticino Film Commission will bring an example of the implementation of sustainability-related data in the files of its Location Guide. Finally, Silvia Fazio of Escape4Change will present a sustainable Escape Room. The aim of this conference is not only to raise awareness of ecological and climate change, but also and above all to induce a new awareness of the changes already taking place.
