An argument with her mother pushes young Sofia to leave for the south hitchhiking, looking for the father she never had. When Michael, a grumpy and reluctant engineer, accepts her aboard his vehicle, an unlikely friendship starts between the two strangers, for the time of a trip together in the south of Austria.
