Cahit is forty and has attempted suicide. He meets twenty-year-old Sibel, like him of Turkish origin, who has also tried to take her own life to escape the cage her family was creating around her. The only means of escape the girl can imagine is to get Cahit to marry her. Cahit accepts, perhaps because he understands that this is a means of salvation for himself, and also perhaps because it’s the first time he thinks he can help someone. They begin their live as a couple but Cahit continues to see his former lover and Sibel does not relinquish the freedom she has found and goes out with other men. Until Cahit’s jealousy gets the upper hand.
