The “Mattanza”, tuna fishing in May, will be Turi’s rite of passage. The boy, 14 years, is learning his father’s work while his sister Teresa (10 years) looks at him astonished. When summer comes, turmoil between the young people of the island and new becomers force these adolescents to mature faster. Their island also has a prison, where inmates live free within the natural enclosure formed by the sea.
