Pietro and Mattia are grandfather and grandson. The first is a former successful writer in depression, who on his birthday is about to commit suicide. Suddenly he re-ceives an unexpected phone call and learns the most terrible news. It concerns his dau-ghter and son–in–law. Mattia is a sensitive boy who knows little about his grandfather, yet he will be the one to tell him the sad news.
