LA GABBIANELLA E IL GATTO

1988

Kengah, a seagull poisoned by an oil spill, in dying entrusts her egg to Zorba, the cat, wrenching three promises from him: not to eat the egg, to take care of it until it opens and to teach the newborn to fly. The orphaned seagull is christened Fortunata by the colony of cats that Zorba has involved in the hard task of raising this unexpected “daughter”. Little Fortunata herself has a curious task: getting to know herself and to realize that she is not a cat, before she learns to fly. Meanwhile, together with her feline friends, she has to face the danger of the rats, waiting for the chance to leave the sewers and proclaim the coming of the Great Rat.
After many hardships and surprises, the rat assault is repelled. Now the seagull can fly and finally reach her real companions in the sky.
