Four children in Basilicata, 1961. Armando and Egidio are worker’s kids, Mario is the son of the local GP and Vito is the son of Giovanni, a sculptor and restorer of religious objects. Into their lives enters the name of a country, Belgium, thanks to phone calls from a public telephone from immigrants working in Belgian mines and the consequences of the respiratory diseases they have contracted there. Armando and Egidio will instead get to know Belgium first hand, obliged to immigrate, one with his father and the other with his mother. Their lives won’t be easy.
