Raffaella is an illegal Peruvian immigrant in New York. She arrived with her two sons Paul and Tito. While she works in a diner selling fried chicken, thinking she can do something to make the "American Dream" come true, they attend a special class for immigrants where they learn English and fall in love with the same Slavic girl who works as a prostitute to survive. But they cannot stop being and feeling 'invisible'.
