A none too trustworthy rat named Ratso who does tricks at fairs and is forced to flee because he’s being hunted by similar types, one day finds himself with an egg between his paws. From it hatches an awkward bird who fondly calls him mother. At first Ratso would like to get rid of him but then he gets an idea: why not exhibit him to amuse the public? But the “little one” grows up, still believing Ratso to be his parent.
